TORMEK Drill Grinding Jig - DBS-22

With Tormek's patented drill bit sharpening jig, the DBS-22, you can now sharpen your drill bits (3-22 mm) with the utmost precision. The optimal point and clearance angles can be adjusted for each drilling operation, depending on the drill size and material. Even broken drill bits can be ground to a perfect shape.

4-facet tip

You get a 4-facet tip with excellent cutting properties. The chisel edge of the drill bit has a point, rather than being essentially flat like conventional drill bits. The 4-facet tip doesn't wander and requires significantly less drilling pressure when drilling than a conventional conical tip.

The precision-ground 4-facet tip significantly reduces heat buildup, making the drill bit last much longer. Independent tests show that you can drill up to four times longer with a Tormek-ground drill bit than with a conventional drill bit¹.

Controlled sharpening

Because you work according to the laws of nature and continuously cool the cutting edge, there's no risk of the steel overheating and losing its hardness or developing microcracks. You always have full control and can see how the grinding process progresses.
