TORMEK Whetstone Japanese Waterstone - SJ-250

The Tormek Japanese Waterstone has a 4000 grit and produces a mirror-like surface with barely visible grinding grooves. Because it is designed to give the tool the finest possible surface, its grinding ability is limited and therefore cannot be used for shaping* a tool.

It is particularly suitable for sharpening hand tools such as carving tools, knives, scissors, plane irons and chisels that have the correct shape and angle.

The Tormek Japanese Waterstone is extremely durable due to its unique composition. The Tormek Japanese Waterstone produces a grinding surface so fine that it doesn't need to be honed on a leather honing wheel afterward.

Clean the whetstone of steel particles approximately once per minute using the fine side of the SP-650 Stone Groomer. Never use the coarse side of the Stone Groomer on the Japanese Waterstone.

Fits Tormek T-7, Tormek T-8 and earlier Tormek models with 250 mm stone diameter.
