With Rubio Monocoat WoodPrep, your wood is prepared for further treatments in no time.
The product removes sanding dust, counteracts sanding defects, and reduces wood-species-specific tannins and oils . In addition, Rubio Monocoat WoodPrep increases the color intensity of Rubio Monocoat oils through improved pigment absorption .

- Effective against grinding defects and any small scratches that may be present.
- Increases the color intensity of Rubio Monocoat oils through improved pigment absorption.
- Reduces tannins in the wood and thus reduces the risk of discoloration.
- Improves adhesion to naturally fatty and oil-rich wood species.
- Physical state: liquid
- Color: transparent
- Odor: characteristic
- Flash point: > 100 °C
- Density: approx. 1 kg/L
- Carefully vacuum the surface to be treated.
- Apply Rubio Monocoat WoodPrep evenly over the surface with a sponge. Be sure to treat the entire area, as otherwise cloudy or uneven patches may appear during subsequent treatment.
- Carefully wipe the wood surface in the direction of the grain with a Rubio Monocoat microfiber pad to distribute the product evenly.
- Allow the treated surface to dry thoroughly until it looks and feels dry all over.
- Now you can apply the desired Rubio product.
- Dispose of empty containers in accordance with local regulations.
