Does your wood look weathered, or is the protective effect of the finish diminishing? Breathe new life into your wood with Universal Maintenance Oil 2 Mix. This product is a maintenance oil. For refreshing and maintaining wooden surfaces oiled with Oil Plus 2C . Universal Maintenance Oil 2 Mix ensures better liquid resistance of the treated wood.

Instructions for use

for furniture, stairs & worktops

1. Remove any dust from the surface.
2. Spray All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray or Surface Care onto the surface.
3. Wipe dry with a mop or microfiber cloth.
4. Allow the surface to dry. Rinsing with water is not necessary.
5. Add the A component of Oil Plus 2C in the color of the original surface treatment to the Universal Maintenance Oil. The correct ratio is 1 part Oil Plus 2C to 3 parts Universal Maintenance Oil (as indicated in the kit). Mix thoroughly.
6. Apply a small amount of oil with a brush and spread with a red Rubio Monocoat Scrubby Pad. Preferably work in 2-4 m² areas (areas that can be completed within approximately 15 minutes, including the following step).
7. Allow to soak in for a few minutes and then work the oil into the wood using a white Rubio Monocoat pad.
8. Wipe away excess oil with a Rubio Monocoat Oil Removal Cloth. The surface should appear even.

for floors

1. Vacuum the surface. Remove dust, sand, stones, etc.
2. Clean the floor with All Natural Wood Cleaner or Universal Soap.
   - Add five sprays (10 ml) of All Natural Wood Cleaner to a bucket containing 5–8 L of lukewarm water (max. 40 °C).
   - Add a maximum of 50 to 100 ml of Universal Soap to a bucket containing 10 liters of water.
3. Clean the surface with a mop or cloth. Caution: No water should remain on the surface; a damp wipe is sufficient.
4. Allow the surface to dry. Do not walk on the floor again until it is completely dry. Rinsing with water is not necessary.
5. Carefully add the A component of Oil Plus 2C in the color of the original surface treatment to the Universal Maintenance Oil. The correct ratio is 1 part Oil Plus 2C to 3 parts Universal Maintenance Oil (as indicated in the kit packaging). Mix thoroughly.
6. Apply a small amount of Universal Maintenance Oil with a brush. Then spread it along the grain using an extension pole, flexible pad holder, and a red Rubio Monocoat Scrubby Pad (11.5 cm x 25 cm). Preferably work in 5-10 m² areas (areas that can be completed within approximately 15 minutes, including the following step).
7. Allow to soak in for a few minutes and then work the oil into the wood using a white pad (11.5 cm x 25 cm).
8. Wipe away excess oil with a Rubio Monocoat Oil Removal Cloth. The surface should appear even.

Tips and tricks

• The product must not be diluted unless otherwise stated in the instructions for use.
• Stir the product thoroughly before applying.
• If you use multiple packs, we recommend mixing them to achieve a consistent result.
• If the treated surface shows excessive signs of wear, we recommend maintenance with Oil Plus 2C in the original color.
• Replace the Rubio Monocoat Oil Removal Cloth in a timely manner. When the cloth no longer absorbs enough oil, it should be replaced.
• A WoodCream brush allows you to apply the correct amount of oil to the surface. These brushes aren't suitable for applying the product directly to the wood, but they allow for a clean and economical application of the oil. Depending on the nature of the surface to be treated, you can choose the small or medium WoodCream brush.
  • For furniture and stairs We recommend the small brush as it fits through the opening of the 80ml set can (this brush is 2.54cm wide).
  • For floors We recommend the medium brush because the 400ml set uses a cup and a larger brush is more suitable for this type of surface (this brush is 5.08cm wide).

400 ml = 50-75 m²

80 ml = 10 - 15 m²

• Set = 60 ml Universal Maintenance Oil 2 Mix + 20 ml Oil Plus 2C, Comp. A
