Kreg PRS1200 – Precision Beaded Face Frame System

Clean, repeatable frame profiles directly on the milling table: With the PRS1200 you can mill classic bead profiles on frames (face frames) quickly and reproducibly – ideal for doors, drawer fronts and furniture fronts.

Here's how it works

• Milling the groove: Mortise the longitudinal strips (stiles) with the supplied 6 × 38 mm groove cutter – guided by sliding carriage and control arm.
• Repeat position: The precision stop on the milling table ensures millimeter-accurate, reproducible groove positions.
• Milling the bead: Switch to a standard router table fence and attach the decorative profile using the 6 mm bead cutter.
• Connection: The frame parts can be joined using, for example, Kreg screw connections; glue is optional.

Compatibility & Requirements

• Full-size router table with T-slot (e.g., Mini-Trak/Combo-Trak). If not present, position the T-slot centrally, 159 mm from the center of the router opening.
• Router/spindle with collet for 12.7 mm (½″) cutter shanks.
• Frame strips from approximately 38 mm wide are directly covered. For 50 mm strips, an optional 6 × 50 mm groove cutter is available (sold separately).

Honest advice from practical experience

The system is easy to understand, but precise results require a few test cuts on scrap pieces. Once the cutter is properly adjusted, the PRS1200 repeats the process extremely reliably – ideal for serial production!
