They can sharpen a variety of materials, including steel, ceramic, and carbide. Suitable for Tormek T-8, Tormek T-7, and previous models with a 250 mm stone diameter.

Each diamond grinding wheel comes with 150 ml of ACC-150 rust protection concentrate. Always add the concentrate to the water when wet grinding to prevent rusting of the grinding wheel. Add 10 ml of concentrate to every 250 ml of water (approx. 4%). We recommend always grinding with the diamond grinding wheel wet, as this extends the life of the wheel and produces a smoother surface. You can also grind dry.

Tormek's new diamond grinding wheels are available in three grits: coarse, fine, and extra-fine. The high quality of the diamond grinding surface ensures powerful, consistent sharpening and a consistent wheel diameter. Those who frequently sharpen the same tool will especially benefit from this feature, as it simplifies setup and sharpening.

Diamond is the hardest natural material. It is almost twice as hard as boron nitride (CBN), another commonly used abrasive. Its extreme hardness and durability make diamond the optimal grinding material.

Another practical feature of Tormek's diamond grinding wheels is the diamond layer on the side, which is perfect for sharpening small carving tools such as gouges and scissors, as well as plane blades, wood chisels, and knives. The result is a completely smooth bevel instead of a hollow grind.

Tormek's diamond grinding wheels complement the water grinding system; they are not a replacement for the original Tormek whetstone. All diamond grinding wheels are suitable for different materials, such as steel, ceramic, and carbide.
