The long wait was worth it; Festool is presenting its cordless angle grinder and other new products this fall.
We were able to briefly test the new cordless angle grinder on July 8th, using various applications, and the results are truly impressive. The machine has plenty of power and impresses in many ways.
Festool offers a truly well-rounded package that will fully satisfy many tradespeople on construction sites or during assembly work. Whether you need to quickly shorten a threaded rod, cut roof tiles, or grind metal with fan grinders, the AGC 18-125 cordless angle grinder truly delivers performance comparable to that of a corded machine.

Cordless angle grinder AGC 18

The powerful AGC 18 cordless angle grinder is dust-resistant and durable thanks to its encapsulated, brushless EC-TEC motor and protected electronics. The continuously adjustable speed from 4,500 to 8,500 rpm ensures cutting and grinding tailored to the material. The design of the AGC 18 is consistently optimized for ergonomic cutting. Furthermore, the motor and housing are decoupled from each other for particularly smooth operation and low vibration.

Diamond freehand cutting system DSC-AGC 18

For a healthy working environment, the extraction hood transports over 95% of the dust directly to the mobile dust extractor – ideal for dust-free cutting of mineral materials indoors. The open design allows a clear view of the cutting area – for easy orientation along the scribe mark. The extraction hood can also be easily opened to the front for cutting close to edges. The encapsulated EC-TEC motor and protected electronics ensure dust resistance. For even more convenience, the Bluetooth® battery pack automatically starts the connected mobile dust extractor.

The new 50mm bit range
Available from July 9, 2019
50mm bits
The popular Centrotec bits for the Festool chuck are now also available in 50mm. These were previously available in a few sets.
Quite casual: The bits are available in sizes from TX 10 to TX 40, packaged in pairs. There are also two bit assortments, one of which fits into the lid compartment.
New quick-change bit holder BHS 60 CE
Finally, the quick-change bit holder has been redesigned and now looks much more stable.

Accessories for vacuuming
Available from September 2, 2019

For the new CT MINI and MIDI vacuum cleaners (from model year 2019) there is now a push bar with practical holders for the cleaning accessories.
In addition, it can be sunk when not in use.
Rotation compensation
The future starts now. The new swivel adapters (connectors that plug into the container on the vacuum cleaner side) now come with RFID chips for automatic suction hose recognition. (If supported)

Product optimization: sword saws
Available from August 1, 2019
Festool's reinforced sword saws, ideal for woodworking, have been improved. The switch area has been given additional rubber protection against impacts.

Standard conversion: Planer
Standard change from July 1, 2019
This standard change is due to the new IEC 62841 standard, which will come into effect in autumn 2019. The main change is the inclusion of a restart lock on the planers. This ensures that the planers do not restart automatically after a power failure (regardless of how it occurred), even if the power switch is pressed.
