Description
Get the right sharpening for your scissors on your Tormek with the SVX-150 scissor jig. It's suitable for all types of scissors, from household scissors to heavy-duty garden shears. You can also sharpen pinking shears, which make zigzag cuts in clothing, as well as plane blades from electric hand planers.
The scissors are mounted in a holder that rests freely on a support plate. The grinding angle can be adjusted to precisely reproduce the existing cutting angle.
Often, one of the scissors' blades (sometimes both) has a slightly convex shape. Thanks to the design of the Tormek jig, you can follow the individual shape of each blade, achieving a perfect sharpening result.
The rotation of the stone presses the blade of the scissors against the holding plate, allowing you to concentrate on moving the scissors across the stone.
