The Laguna cylinder sander was developed with the help of master carpenters. Therefore, you'll find several features that professionals have been missing from the woodworking machine market for years. For example, there's a lever for quick and easy adjustment of the sanding height. A thrust bearing under the handle and a nut above it prevent the roller from moving during sanding. The height adjustment mechanism has no play or tilt, allowing for easier and smoother height adjustment. The digital display shows the cylinder height in tenths of a millimeter, allowing for precise readings.

Accuracy across the entire width of the workpiece is ensured not only by the rigid guide of the machine, but also by the precise parallel alignment between the cylinder and the feed belt. Flatness comparison across the entire width of the machine can be easily adjusted using a lever beneath the feed belt, depending on the width of the material to be ground. A separate feed belt motor is located at the rear of the grinder, so the feed belt is pulled rather than pushed. The extra-wide feed belt (558 mm) is designed to adequately support a workpiece with a width of more than 482 mm (for two workpiece widths). The perfectly flattened steel guide of the feed belt, reinforced with four steel cross-sections, guarantees flatness with a deviation of less than 0.25 mm across the entire width of the cylinder grinder.

The feed speed adapts to the material thanks to the clever Intellisand technology: This automatically adjusts the feed speed to ensure consistent sanding even with different wood densities and grain directions. This prevents burning, tearing, and damage to the workpiece during sanding. A feed belt with a rough surface grips raw wood best, allowing you to sand very short or thin pieces. The cylindrical sander features a patented sanding belt tensioning system that prevents the sanding belt from loosening or overlapping. This makes tensioning very quick and easy. No special tools required!

The cylinder cover is contoured to the cylinder's shape, ensuring perfect suction. The self-cooling drum prevents overheating and extends the life of the abrasive. Pressure rollers prevent uneven removal rates between two passes. Robust cast iron construction.
