The Fitfinder® in one hand, your material in the other and you have already determined half the material thickness.
Fix this to the Fitfinder® with the fixing screw and you can easily transfer the half measurement to your machine or workpiece.
The whole thing is also very precise, as the Fitfinder® has a tapered pointer to correctly transfer the measured measurement.
