This SIMPLEX soft-face hammer (Art. 3117.051) features special 50mm diameter impact inserts built into the 40mm diameter housing. The oversized striking surfaces ensure that the hammer housing does not come into contact with sensitive surfaces when working on them. Equipped with the TPE-soft (blue, soft, non-abrasive) / Superplastic (white, medium-hard) insert combination, a striking block is unnecessary when assembling cabinets or working on veneer. The blue insert can even be used directly on the edges of the workpiece without causing damage. The harder Superplastic insert enables greater impact force and is also ideal for use with a wood chisel. The extra-light aluminum housing with integrated handle protection sleeve allows the user to easily control and determine the impact force. It also makes the soft-face hammer a very lightweight tool that is easy to carry. In keeping with the clever SIMPLEX principle, all components are replaceable and retrofittable. This not only saves money but also resources. The included contour gauge with locking function allows for easy and precise transfer of contours, for example, on door frames and heating pipes. It enables optimal work results without waste, even with complicated contours.
