The filler remains elastic and can be processed quickly and easily. There are no long drying times or mixing problems, as is the case with small quantities of epoxy resin.
It's not a regular hot glue gun, but one specifically tuned to the optimal melting range of the glue. The filler sticks are available from stock in a variety of colors.
