The sharpest companion for life
We're confident that our sharpening machines will last for many years. They often even outlive their owners. The first thing to be discarded is usually the original whetstone. Not because it breaks, but because it's simply worn out after years of sharpening your various tools. We want to give you the opportunity to counteract this: with lifetime replacement of your whetstones when you purchase a Tormek T-8 Original or Tormek T-4 Original.
The grind of our original whetstones can be changed from the standard 220 grit to 1000 grit. This makes them the ultimate grinding wheel for all your cutting tools. If our original whetstone has worn unevenly, you can use the TT-50 turning and dressing tool to restore it to a round and flat surface. It will last a lifetime.

Campaign conditions
This campaign is valid in Austria from September 1 to 30, 2022, while supplies last. With every Tormek T-8 Original or Tormek T-4 Original purchased during this period, you'll receive a certificate for free whetstones for life. Here's how to get your certificate:
- Register your machine by October 15, 2022 at tormek.com/austria/de/konto/anmeldung/ .
- When registering, please enter “FGL Purchase Date, Dealer Name” in the note field (section “Notes on Tormek:”).
After registering your new machine, you will receive your certificate for free lifetime sharpening stones. Certificates are created manually one at a time, which may take some time. Please be patient. If you have not received your certificate by November 15, 2022, send an email to info@tormek.se with "FGL Certificate" in the subject line.
*How to use your certificate
With your Lifetime Free Stone Certificate, you can replace your stone when it wears down to a certain diameter. This is the SG-250 Original Stone for the Tormek T-8 (7")/178 mm, and the SG-200 Original Stone for the Tormek T-4 (6")/150 mm. Tormek will handle the replacement of worn stones, and you will receive a new original stone completely free of charge. The Lifetime Free Stone Certificate covers a maximum of three (3) replacement stones within 25 years from the date of purchase (based on the approximate lifespan of your Tormek machine).
This is how you get a new original whetstone to replace your worn-out stone:
- Save the lifetime free whetstone certificate so you can present it upon request.
- Send pictures of your worn grindstone along with a copy of the machine's purchase receipt to info@tormek.se.
- In the email, please include your full name, the address where the replacement whetstone should be sent (this must be in the country where the machine was purchased), the machine's serial number (found on the side of the machine in a corner under the honing wheel), and the whetstone number (underneath the label).
