With heart, mind and tools
Ten years ago, Mike's Toolshop was little more than an idea—a small online shop with a few orders a day and the hope that quality and service still count for something online. Today, this name is backed by a strong team, a well-thought-out product range, and a loyal community whose over 17,000 five-star reviews prove that the journey has paid off.
We – Alexandra and Michael Keller – founded Mike's Toolshop with the desire to build something of our own. Something that would last. And that truly helps customers. Our goal was never to be the largest provider – but rather the most reliable. We wanted to create a place where tradespeople could find what they needed: high-quality products, fair advice, fast shipping, and honest service.
A quick look back? Then we'll move on.
"Our actions are designed to ensure long-term survival. We strive to impress with our expertise, service, and high levels of customer satisfaction." This philosophy has guided us since day one. And it has guided us through many decisions.
We've tried a lot in these ten years. New products, new suppliers, new ideas. Not everything worked – and that's okay. Because we believe that making mistakes is okay, as long as you learn from them. And as long as you stay true to yourself. That's why we consciously let go of anything that didn't fit our values. We'd rather be smaller but consistent – rather than arbitrary and interchangeable.
What's especially important to us is personal interaction. We treat our customers the way we like to be treated ourselves: with respect, as equals, and with a genuine interest in ensuring everything runs smoothly. No call center, no standard answers, but direct communication and solutions that make sense.
Today, we work with a fantastic team that shares this same spirit. People who understand what we're about – and who help every day to ensure that Mike's Toolshop remains what it has become: a reliable partner for everyone who values good tools and honest service.
We are grateful for the past ten years, for the trust we've been privileged to experience, and for the many conversations, feedback, and encounters that have shaped us.
And because good stories don't end with an anniversary, we're looking forward to what's to come.
